Can you reuse my existing base?+
Often yes — we survey the foundations and dwarf walls and confirm before quoting.
Can I convert my old conservatory into a proper year-round room?+
Yes. A conservatory conversion can transform an old, cold conservatory into a warmer, more comfortable space without necessarily building a completely new extension. We can replace the existing frames and install an insulated SupaLite solid roof, with a plastered internal ceiling to create a much more extension-like finish.
Do I need Building Regulations for a conservatory roof conversion?+
When replacing a glass or polycarbonate conservatory roof with a solid roof, Building Regulations will normally need to be considered. Our SupaLite roofing system has system approval designed around Building Regulations requirements, while the existing conservatory and proposed conversion are assessed on a project-by-project basis.
Can you add brick walls to my existing conservatory foundations?+
Sometimes, but the existing foundations must first be suitable for the additional weight. Where Building Regulations or the existing foundations prevent us from adding traditional masonry, we can often replace selected glass panels with lightweight insulated SIP panels. These can be internally studded and plastered to create the appearance and feel of a solid wall without the weight of full brickwork.
Will replacing my conservatory roof make it warmer in winter?+
Yes. Replacing an old glass or polycarbonate roof with an insulated SupaLite conservatory roof can significantly improve thermal performance. Combined with new energy-efficient frames and insulated wall panels where required, a conservatory conversion can create a much more comfortable space to enjoy throughout the year.
